Compact Laminate is a thickened double-faced decorative plate with fire resistance, which is made of special resin and a variety of special papers through high temperature high pressure. Due to its dense density and a variety of changes in color texture and surface treatment, it is suitable for load-bearing countertops, and is also widely used for walls, bathroom partitions, dressing room partitions, space area segmentation, storage cabinets and various countertops, etc.

Ingenuity material

1.Basic composition

Compact Laminate is made by impregnating decorative color paper with melamine resin and the bottom layer of multi-layer cowhide paper with phenolic resin, and then pressing it at high temperature and pressure of 150℃. Its density is far beyond that of ordinary boards, with a cross section of black and texture, and has an integrated colored resin surface.

2.Aesthetic expression: co-evolution of function and design

The high temperature and high pressure process allows the resin to fully penetrate the fibers, forming an irreversible chemical cross-linked structure, which gives the board high and deformation resistance properties. Compared with the second-generation compact laminate (wood fiber+glue pressing), the first-generation compact laminate has higher density, no formaldehyde release, smooth cross section and stronger weather resistance.

weather resistance: Waterproof and moisture-proof: extremely low water absorption rate, can be directly used in damp environments (such as bathrooms, outdoors), no deformation or mild after long-term immersion.

Fire prevention safety: Fireproof flame retardant: fire resistance grade B1 (non-combustible material), does not melt or drip in the presence of an open, in accordance with EU fire standards.

2.Chemical performance

Chemical resistance: can resist strong acids and alkalis (such as commonly used reagents in the laboratory), suitable for special environments such as chemical industry medical treatment.

Antibacterial and easy to clean: the surface is smooth and dense, and has passed the TESTING CANASL5413 and ISO antibacterial, the antibacterial rate can reach 99.8% for Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, etc., and can be directly with organic solvents.

Waterproof and moisture-proof: Compact Laminate is made of special resin and high-performance paper through high temperature and high pressure molding, with dense structure, extremely low water absorption rate. It does not expand, deform, or crack even if it is in a high humidity environment for a long time. 

Antibacterial and anti-mold, guarding health and hygiene

In the humid and hot bathroom environment, mold and bacteria are prone to breeding. Giovanni panels have been certified by SGS authority antibacterial test which can effectively inhibit the breeding of a variety of harmful bacteria within 24 hours, effectively reducing odors, and providing a cleaner and more reassuring user experience for public or spaces.

4.Green performance

Low formaldehyde emission: using non-formaldehyde resin, in compliance with EU E0 grade, and certified by FSC forest product chain of custody, GRCC and other international certifications.
